| Vintage Isabel Canovas Silk Taffeta Wrap Shawl This fabulous silk wrap,shawl or scarf is vintage. I beleive it is circa 1980's and is made by the famous and collectable designer Isabel Canovas. I believe this item is couture, how could there be two such items? The body of this wrap is fuschia colored and the leaves are bright green. The dangling bits are various colors as you can see. The wrap measures 6' 8" long, 3' 11" at the widest and the leaves measure 7"x3". It is made from silk taffeda which has a slight iridescence to it, especially the green leaves. The Isabel Canovas wrap is in excellent condition with no tears, splits, etc. No fading or bad smells. I found one tiny dark spot about 1/8" right where the leaf is on one end. Cannot be seen unless really searching. The wrap needs to be steamed as it is wrinkled. The leaves are wired so you can make them do what you want. They are attached to the wrap so that they just hang like you see in my pictures. I see no sign that they were ever attached any differently. The leaves on the middle area of the wrap have no fruit attached and they are at random intervals and have random quantities.
